CO-EXISTING ENDOMETRIAL STROMAL SARCOMA AND LEIOMYOMA – UTERUS
Abstract
Combined endometrial stromal-smooth muscle tumors (Stromomyomas) with both the components of endometrial stromal tumor and smooth muscle tumour presenting as a single mass is an uncommon entity. Even rarer is the condition known as Co-existing endometrial stromal sarcoma and leiomyoma presenting as separate masses in uterus. We report a case of 55 years old woman who presented in gynecology department of CMH, RWP with complaints of heavy per vaginal bleeding. Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was performed and the specimen was submitted to Histopathology department of AFIP, RWP. It was diagnosed as co-existing endometrial stromal sarcoma and leiomyoma presenting as separate masses in uterus.Downloads
